Interview Dawson Newby Amsoil Arenacross Rider

Dawson Newby has made a big name for himself since turning pro in 2015.  For being just 20yrs old, his birthday just around the corner, Dawson is excited to be performing in his home state. Growing up just outside of Greely, Dawson comes from a family of racers. He began riding at the age of 3 and started racing locally by the age of 4. When asked if there was a defining moment when he was younger that fueled his desire for Arenacross, his reply “One time during a fun family weekend my dad took me to a race and I was so excited”, that was when he knew he wanted to race. Dawson quickly excelled and by the time he was 14, he had already qualified for his first Arenacross Lites Main Event! Another passion of his would be his roles in his church. Dawson very much enjoys helping out, spreading the gospel. His dad happens to be a pastor in their town. Outside of church activities and racing of course, he also enjoys cross fit, fishing, camping, snowboarding, mountain biking … pretty much every fun thing to do when you live in Colorado!

Dawson also rides for Team Faith, which is a non-profit, multi-faceted outreach ministry. Something in which Dawson invest a good amount of time. He loves being able to reach out to thousands at a time to speak of how much faith means to him. If you would like the chance to meet Dawson or see what Team Faith is about, they will be hosting a dinner at 3:30pm opening night at the arena followed by a track party at 5pm where you can walk the track and get autographs from your favorite riders. Dawson encourages all of you to make it out for this amazing behind the scenes experience!

The Amsoil Arenacross will be here at the Denver Coliseum March 17th and 18th so pick up your tickets now by clicking here and don’t miss your chance to see what most describe as MTX on steroids! Should be such a fun event.

Hope to see you all there!
