Villain Arts brought their world known tattoo convention back to Denver for another amazing year filled with talented artists from all over the world! The downtown convention center is the only place in town that could provide the perfect environment for such an epic event. The large open ballroom was just the right amount of space to be adequate enough so you didn’t feel crowded amongst the booths and all the fans flocking to get tattooed by the finest in the industry.
Hosting an array of styles, Black List Tattoo Parlour, located in Albuquerque, NM; artist John Henderson laid down a sick dagger/serpent combo on the side of someone’s head, perfectly muted grays and greens while adding just a pop of blue highlight to create an epic accent of color. If you’re interested in getting some work done by him, his Instagram is a great way to check out his other art.
Another heavy hitting artist from Sante Fe, NM, Brian Ulibarri came to wreck shop with his insane photo-realistic tattoo style. Check out his Instagram for further booking info.
Holding it down for Denver was Fallen Owl owner and tattoo artist Adam Rose. His shop is located off Colfax and has been a well known spot for many years now. Creating an ultra sick shark on a fellow friends knee, I felt like I was hurting more than the gent was that was getting tattooed! What a painful spot… make sure to check out more of Adams work online on his instagram page.
Josh Herman was there, another local from Denver laying down his signature cartoon style with large graphics and heavy color saturation blends. You can find him at Dingbat Studios or on his instagram for a better look at his style.
Of course as always there was the performance factor that draws the crowd. Each year Villain Arts hosts a full sideshow routine which typically includes some fabulous performers. Sadly the suspension acts were cancelled this year but many of the other acts went on. Marlo Marquis performed her signature set followed by Enigma and his unforgettable self. Each showcase unique talents that awe the crowd before them. You can usually find Enigma on tour for these sorts of events or even on TV shows like the X-files… but the best way to keep in the know is to follow his instagram.
Mixed in were vendors and I suppose I shouldn’t forget to mention the Inkslingers from the TV show Inkmasters. One particular vendor was pretty rad and different showcasing a CBD aftercare tattoo salve that is perfectly safe to use. A proprietary blend containing 120mg of CBD, Clowdee also offers CBD vape pens as well that have a super delicious taste to them! Find them online on their website by clicking here.
Till next year folks! We always look forward to what the Villain Arts Tattoo Convention will be bringing our way and to make sure you don’t miss out on any of their future stops, click here to see what city they will be hitting next!
Ciao,
Bella
