2023 Denver PrideFest
Pride 2023 kicked off this with 1000’s of people descending upon Civic Center Park. Hot weather couldn’t stop brightly colored, families, friends and loved ones from participating in the festivities.
This year’s sculpture was created by Lonnie Hanzon and titled “Love is Love”. The sculpture measured 28′ tall and used 300 yard of fabric to cover it. The sculpture wasn’t as interactive as last year but provided the perfect backdrop for colorful photos. There was were a surprise engagement that took place around the sculpture. It was such a beautiful and heart felt moment. We’ve included a couple photos below and she said “YES”.
Sunday’s parade crowd seemed smaller than in the past. 100,000+ people attended but it felt less crowded. The streets were lined with people waving flags reflecting their choice of identity, some carrying fans and parasols to protect them from the heat.
A quick shout out to all the volunteers, DPD, first responders and paramedics for keeping everyone safe and for making this year’s Pride a success.
From the staff at Xposer Magazine we thank you and look forward to next years pride.
