RAW Showcase is back – a long line of show goers wrapped around City Hall on Broadway waiting to get in the doors. RAW CUSP represented emerging and fresh perspectives in art, photography, fashion, music, jewelry and more. Fashion Editor, Jessica Montour of Fashion Forward, joined the packed house as models dubbing as mannequins displayed the work of estheticians and lingerie.
The night flowed with much to admire as a live rapper warmed up the crowd. These showcases are an ongoing effort to provide independent artists of all creative genres with the tools, resources and exposure needed to inspire & cultivate creativity. Artists onstage displayed an array of work representing their love of the electric violin, club apparel, festival hoods and fashion design. You don’t have to walk very far to get a feel for all of the colorful, unique and abstract ways artists represent and share who they are to their core throughout this showcase.
