ONE BANTAMWEIGHT KICKBOXING AND MUAY THAI WORLD CHAMPION

DIVISION: BANTAMWEIGHT KICKBOXING | GYM: KEDDLES GYM

  • Haggerty grew up around martial arts, following in the footsteps of his father, who competed as a professional kickboxer and mixed martial artist.
  • When he’s not in training camp, “The General” teaches youth striking classes at his father’s gym.
  • Haggerty is the current ONE Bantamweight Muay Thai and Kickboxing World Champion and a former ONE Flyweight Muay Thai World Champion.
  • He is the only ONE World Champion to hail from the UK. Haggerty has actively pushed for a super-fight with MMA GOAT Demetrious Johnson.

Jonathan Haggerty is an incredibly accomplished martial artist despite his relative youth. He began training in Muay Thai at the age of 7 under the watchful eye of his father, who was himself an active competitor, and competed in his first bout just one year later. Since then, he has relentlessly pursued his dreams of becoming the best striker in the world.

Haggerty quickly racked up multiple amateur accolades in the sport of Muay Thai, becoming a multiple-time English and British Champion before claiming a European Title as well. After turning professional, he continued dominating his way across the globe, knocking out almost every opponent on the way to becoming a Roar Combat League Champion.

This tremendous success led Haggerty to ONE Championship, where he went on to capture both the Flyweight and Bantamweight Muay Thai World Titles. At ONE Fight Night 16, he claimed a third belt in a new sport – kickboxing.

On September 6, Haggerty will put his Muay Thai World Title on the line on US soil at ONE 168 against flyweight kickboxing king Superlek Kiatmoo9.
