The First Chair Festival is the place to go to for anything Ski related. Usually falling close to beginning of the season, it allows you to check out many big bargain sales & gear sales from many of your favorite vendors, along with incorporating scattered ski film premieres. Also including live music, this year they showcased Air Traffic Controller and The Moth & The Flame.

One of the most anticipated ski events across the nation, it provides the perfect transition into everyone in Colorado’s favorite time of year – Ski season!
Doors opened at 12:45 that day, with the first film premier being HG Skis “Eat the Guts”, followed by The Big Picture “Lite Years”, both of which seemed to captivate the crowd. By 5:30, or so. We were listening to some great music when Air Traffic Controller took the stage. Attendees were walking around shopping while the music played in the background. Following them, The Moth and The Flame took to the stage and rocked the crowd with their raspy vocals.
Then came the Eagle Pass Giveaway. Such a great chance to win the heli skiing trip of a lifetime, and it went to one lucky winner.
Wrapping up the evening were two HUGE films by Matchstick Productions and The Faction Collective. With the event coming to an end, the attendees funneled out of the show happy as ever having had the chance to come and have fun while getting some stellar deals on some gear.
Put on by Tsunami Publicity and fueled by Monster Energy, The First Chair Festival is the sister show to the Snowboard on the Block Festival that is usually an even bigger hit than the FCF. Boasting a 2 story pro rail jam, this event brings to life the motto “Go Big or Go Home”.
