Timeless Fashion Night Day 3
Denver’s Unique Week of Fashion moved forward in style by taking a look back. Guests were amazed with the astonishing, elegant and timeless venue at the Grant Humphrey’s Mansion. They were able to walk into the foyer and take in gorgeous chandeliers and beautiful antique fire places. No matter where the audience chose to sit, there were no bad seats to see the grand show.
“This venue is very beautiful! I love it! It’s very victorian,” said 23 year old photographer, Nicole Carpenter. “It brings you back and I really can’t wait to see what the designers have and have those collections walk through the venue. It’s very exciting.”
Although the Grant Humphrey’s Mansion is so grand in size, guests squeezed together and enjoyed the luxurious decor. Vintage carpets and ornate rugs flowed from one room to the next. Violins were gracefully played as guests patiently waited for the show to start. The group quickly found their seats among fellow hair stylists, designers and artists.
Despite tough weather conditions, guest Rebecca Huska showed her passion for fashion, as well as her support for models and designers she knew in the show. She described her every day look as casual and professional, but also unique as she shows off her choker and coat from Stitch Boutique. Huska expressed the way she views fashion and how impressed she was with the venue.
“I think the venue is great,” said Huska. “I like how one room flowed into another so there’s a big open space and flow for it.”
Designer Tsigereda Gugsa brought fresh and vibrant colors from Ethiopia to Denver. The guests looked more than once at the bold colors, unique patterns and smooth material. When the first male model circled both the rooms, light reflected off the silky fabric and left the audience with a tasteful stripe of green, yellow and red. Gugsa also incorporated other bold colors like orange in a neck high floor length dress.
Models sashayed between the two rooms in Allison Nicole Designs collection. Allison Nicole Berger was inspired by the female figure and her collection spoke for itself. The garments hugged the models from top to bottom and all kinds of places. The dresses really embodied delicacy, glamour and romance.

The show came to an end with timeless styles from Parasite Eve Jenkins. The audience traveled back in time to the victorian era. Multiple phrases like “that’s amazing” echoed throughout the room. Ball gowns ranged from playful and fairy tale inspirations, while other gowns looked Gothic inspired. The collection ended with a peach and gold diamond corset with tulle flowing from the model’s waist. The movement of Denver’s Unique Week of Fashion brought diversity, strength, and timeless designs.

“I feel like we are just set into this mold of what people should be and what people should look like and I feel like tonight we broke that mold. There is so much variety.”
