Thunderous Rock Music at the Gothic Theater

May 1st “May Day” is an ancient northern hemisphere spring festival. It is also a traditional spring holiday in many cultures. Dances, singing and cake are usually part of the celebration. This time it was celebrated with thunderous rock music at the Gothic Theater and its amazing staff hosted Immortal Sÿnn, HammerFall and Delain.

Each band bringing its own unique style sound to the party. Immortal Sÿnn; founded in Denver in 2012 revved up the crowd with their powerful driving truly old school heavy metal.

HammerFall; a Swedish heavy metal band formed in Göteborg, Sweden, in 1993 dropped the hammer with their crushing riffs and lyrics.

The near capacity crowd after two bands were at full throttle with excitement when the final act of the night stepped on stage.

Delain; a Dutch symphonic metal band formed in Zwolle, Netherlands in 2002 taking their name from Kingdom of Delain from the Stephen King novel. The Eyes of the Dragon blended beautiful vocals and melodies creatively with smashing metal as the crowd was riveted by the performance to the very last note.  This was one hell of a way to celebrate spring on a Monday in Colorado.
