THE LONGEST RUNNING GAMING CONVENTION IN COLORADO

Genghiscon is the longest running Table Top, PC, and Console Gaming convention in Colorado. Celebrated the historic 40th anniversary of Genghiscon February 16th-19th. Enjoying four days of gaming paradise with auctions, twitch streaming, tournaments, dungeon crawls, prizes, celebrity guests, artists, cosplayers, and more! Weekend featuring role playing games, board games, miniatures, collectible card games, panels, unique vendors, ConJunior (for Kids), and a Gaming Lan Center.

The convention featured local, as well as nationally known celebrity guests from: JINX TAYLOR Cosplayer of 8 years, Thespian of 9 years, and lifelong gamer hailing from North Denver. Breaking the meta in all things nerd/geek. From live-streams to LARPing to cosplay and stand-up this Jack-Of-All- Trades-Master- Of-None uses his skills in what he does to improve and strengthen the local Denver nerdy community as a whole. To Allen Hammack, Allen the “Master of Mythology”, writes with authority on using myths and legends of the world in gaming. He wrote three books on the subject (Fantastic Treasures I and II, and Monsters of Myth & Legend III) for Mayfair Games and was a Chief Editor of Deities & Demigods and Dungeon Masters Guide during the five years he served at TSR. Hired by Gary Gygax, Allen was Manager of Designers during the “Golden Era” of TSR, supervising a talent pool that included Tracy Hickman, Harold Johnson, Lawrence Schick, Zeb Cook, Tom Moldvay and others. When asked about how it felt to see all of the other RPG games that have spawned from his early efforts with Gary Gygax, he humbly smiled and stated that he loves what he sees and excited for the future of gaming. Genghiscon even featured a band “The Bards of Greyhawk” that sang about D&D modules and characters.

The event was a well-oiled machine of fun and adventure for all ages.
