Tartan Day originally conceived as a day to celebrate Scotland’s cultural and historic contributions to the world. Now invite all who have embraced the Tartan to join them in celebrating family, community, nation, heritage, and the human need for connection. Having been a quiet event on the Front Range it has been gaining more visitors every year. This year two day festival moved to Boulder County Fairgrounds in Longmont, Colorado.
They invited one and all to Celebrate Celtic Heritage with them, and meet the Clans honoring their ancestors.
There were performances by: Colorado Youth Pipe Band & Dancers, Historical Re-en actors and Music by Angus Mohr and Delilah’s Revenge. Food, fun, frolic mixes beautifully with immersion learning.
Stop by a clan tent and hear the stories of the past and if you don’t watch out you can find yourself covered in Fairy Dust.
