Suspended Idols Piñata Contest in Santa Fe Art District invites 15 Colorado artists to create contemporary Piñata sculptures. The Museo’s vision is to celebrate Colorado’s connection to folk art and celebrate Mexican-American cultural traditions. Join us for a night of piñata making! You bring in the skeleton and we will help you cover with an assortment of tissue papers!

Each applicant will be sent an application. All accepted contestants will have the opprotunity to win THREE amazing prizes valued from $75- $150. The jurors will judge the works on the day of the event and an award ceromony will be announced on the same night!

Contestant entry is open to individual artists, as well as collaborative 2 person groups.

Diameter must measure a minimum of 24 x 24 inches
Feel free to bring in extra items that you would like to attach: Photographs, sequins, beads, etc.
A team may be created but no more than 2 people
May come with sketches and layer of newspaper already finished
Piece must be completed in 3 hours

Museo will provide
Paint Brushes
Tissue Paper
