CIRQUE DU SOLEIL’s KOOZA IS OFFICIALLY IN DENVER!

The thrilling, internationally-acclaimed Cirque du Soleil production KOOZA’s official opening night will be July 5th, 2023 and will run until August 13th, 2023. However yesterday marks the raising of Cirque du Soleil’s iconic Big Top and the set-up of the Cirque du Soleil Village in the Ball Arena parking lot! This tent raising was exciting to be a part of! Watching everything start to fall into place created even more anticipation to see the story unfold next Wednesday evening.

You are invited to be swept away into a world where whimsical characters, daring acrobatics, mischievous clowns, lavish costuming, colorful sets mixed with a powerful musical score.

KOOZA has traveled across 22 countries with performances in 65 cities leaving close to 8 million spectators mesmerized by its beautiful design.

A breathtaking return to the origins of Cirque du Soleil, KOOZA pays tribute to traditional circus in all its splendor with audacious acrobatic prowess and bold comedy. Under the watch of a mysterious trickster with electrifying powers, KOOZA follows the self-discovery adventures of the Innocent who is magically transported to an exotic yet crazy kingdom. Undeniably the most audacious Cirque du Soleil touring production, KOOZA takes audiences on a thrilling emotional ride. Inspired by traditional circus arts from around the globe, the show’s performances display remarkable showmanship, exceptional execution and incredible agility – notably in the High Wire, Teeterboard and Wheel of Death acts.

The seating capacity for the Big Top shows is close to around 2,500 people. It measures 51 meters in diameter, supported by four 25 meter steel masts & more than 100 poles to hold everything up proper! Due to this taking place in the summertime heat, this traveling performance boasts a light colored canvas to help counter the effects of the sun, reducing energy consumption and allowing you as the viewer, a more comfortable experience.

On average, each site takes about seven days to set up and around three days to dismantle and pack. Leads for a very tight schedule between shows. 70 trailers are actually needed to transport more than 2000 tons of equipment from city to city. Also just to keep you comfortable while you stay to watch the show, the Big Top, the artistic tent & VIP tent are all entirely climate controlled.

So if you get a moment between July 5th and August 13th, please come out to enjoy this most amazingly fun time with us!
